A first hand look at British attitudes to money, investing and the future.

A new tomorrow

A global financial crisis, multiple elections, the Brexit vote and the Scottish referendum are just some of the key events that have characterised what has been a remarkably eventful decade for the British public.

At the same time the financial landscape has changed fundamentally on the back of significant regulatory shifts and record low interest and savings rates as a result of ultra-loose monetary policy.

The good news is that it seems more people are investing. The bad news is there remains a long way to go as only 24% of Britons are invested, while around 75% are holding cash and savings.

In this report we take a look at peoples’ attitudes to investing, saving and planning for the future - with a view to better understand how we can help them reach their financial goals.
